Holland Staal has had the pleasure of producing the steel structure of terminal 4. The largest all-weather terminal in the Amsterdam Port Area.
An All Weather Terminal is a terminal where seagoing vessels carrying weather-sensitive goods can transfer their cargo dry to other modes of transport regardless of weather conditions. This terminal is equipped with a 50T overhead crane with a span of 46.5 m. A unique combination.
The dimensions of the terminal are also significant; over 100 meters long, 50 meters wide over the water, and 30 meters high. For our technicians, it was a challenging project because part of the foundation is in the water and work had to be done up to 30 meters above the water.
